ContourLite

ContourLite is a new solid state lighting element using high reliability, high brightness light emitting diodes (LED's) combined with innovative ‘orthogonal light diffusion’ technology, to create a vibrant alternative to neon strip lighting.

Its prime application is for highlighting buildings such as hotels or restaurant chains in brand colours, attracting attention and generation brand recognition at a distance. Many other applications are possible.

Benefits

• Long life expectancy, 50,000 hrs of use; this is about 8 years of useful life.
  
• Neon and fluorescent have a typical life time of one or two years and demand high levels of maintenance throughout. The saving in maintenance by using ContourLite is very substantial.
  
• High reliability from solid state technology used in ContourLite ensures consistent performance without breakdown, avoiding the ugly unlit gaps which can often spoil a highlighted building profile.
  
• Better safety through the use of low energy, 350mA constant current allows ContourLite to be deployed in situations where mains voltage would be considered a hazard.
  
• Environmentally friendly, typical power consumption is under 2 watts per metre, compared to 23 watts per metre for neon and 70 watts for fluorescent.
  
• Very low running costs achieved from the low maintenance and the low power requirements.
